Amanda Areopagita is the Designer and creator behind Interior Motive Design.  Since 2014, she has grown Interior Motive Design's presence in the Central Florida area, as well as traveling across the U.S. and internationally for design projects.

Amanda graduated with a Bachelors in Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida but after 13 years as a Litigation Paralegal, she returned to college for her second Bachelors in Interior Design from the International Academy of Design and Technology in Tampa, Florida. Although considered late in life to switch careers, her moves were bold, life changing and her design journey began.

Amanda first acquired practical, hands-on design experience with Herman Miller, a recognized innovator in contemporary interior furnishings and solutions for commercial spaces, and with Robb & Stucky, Florida’s largest residential interior design studio at the time.

After a couple years of starting from the bottom, Amanda embarked on one of the greatest design experiences of her life as an Interior Designer for IKEA, the globally known Swedish multi-national conglomerate for furnishings and home accessories.  She acquired a wealth of knowledge of how humans live and behave at home and valuable handy person skills, including learning how to build and install an entire kitchen.

After a few years, Amanda left IKEA and created Interior Motive Design offering home staging and interior design services.  For almost a decade, Amanda expanded her interior design expertise with residential design, from kitchen to bath planning, in addition to commercial design projects including a concert venue, restaurant, law firm and MedSpa.  She also teamed up with West Elm to collaborate on marketing events.  One of her greatest design adventures was designing three houses in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands.

The St. Thomas houses were under going renovation and Amanda suffered a knee injury while playing Flag Football.  Two weeks post-knee surgery, aTV show contacted her to be casted as a Design Host for a house flipping show.   With only a few months to rehabilitate her knee, she completed the St. Thomas installation and shortly after began filming A&E’s Zombie House Flipping Seasons 5, 6, 7 and 8.  The first episode aired in January 2023 and the last in April 2026.  A total of 33 episodes, 33 houses, 3-year production.  Check out the episodes streaming now on the Hulu and A&E apps!
